Great guide! This book is great for helping anyone who has depression or knows of anyone who does. This book can help guide you as to what they may be going through, and helps those with depression realize they are not alone!

This book is easy to understand and takes a different approach to discussing depression than any other I have read. It has you look at a different perspective on depression, and making life changes to heal instead of just taking medication. Some need guidance or permission for self care, because they feel it’s an indulgence due to family obligations. However, this book helps put some of that into place without any residual feelings of guilt!

A holistic approach for people suffering from eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I love how this book was laid out. From page one I found the book to be straight forward and step by step. Part one was mind, two was the soul and three was the body. Each chapter was followed by a personal action plan, and self-assessment tools were in the back with 35 other pages of helpful hints!

This book is the very fine work of the holistic approach for people suffering from eating disorders, depression, anxiety, with trauma. I loved the way the book was laid out. Part one was mind, two was the soul and three was the body. Just reading this book would not fix you but if you managed to consciously follow each step writing and journaling (no small quick fix) you would chapter by chapter see a great improvement in all aspects of your life.

So I sat down to read this book because I really wanted some information about healing depression. I was not able to put this book down. My family has some people who have suffered from depression, and even a family member who went through with suicide. This book helps me more than you can imagine. Great read!

I’ve had depression probably my entire life but was diagnosed as a teen and I’m now almost 30. This book covers the basics like eat and sleep better, work out, etc., but it also covers things like the effects your devices, probiotics and others can have on your mental health. It’s also easy to understand, I’m happy with it so far!

A must-read for anyone who is depressed or just finds themselves thinking/uttering negative thoughts. It shows us how we can overcome negativity no matter how long we’ve entertained, or how firmly seated these damaging thoughts are. I will definitely be referring back to this book again and again not only during difficult times but also to prevent myself from slipping backward for any length of time!

As I read this book, I actually cried several times. Firstly, just from a pure YES moment, like the author knew exactly how I was feeling and he could describe it perfectly. Secondly, from feelings of relief and also sorrow. Relief because I finally found some guidance that felt real, true, and meaningful. Sorrow because of all the times I’ve let my depression take the best of me. If you’re trying to find a new voice for your depression, I highly recommend this book. It’s a quick read and so helpful.
